Dr JINGYI ZHU

With training in urban planning, urban design, and architectural design, Jingyi is committed to understanding the complex ways and processes through which people inhabit and engage with the urban environment.

She is particularly interested in researching a) public space and publicness and b) urban design governance and place quality.

Jingyi holds a PhD in Planning Studies (Bartlett School of Planning, UCL), as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees gained in China and Italy.

Before joining University of Glasgow, Jingyi worked as a postdoctoral researcher at BSP UCL, where she is also currently an Honorary Research Fellow in Urban Planning.
